This script package modifies the Unity-2D-Launcher removing the Ubuntu-Dash button, and Workspaces button so that it can be used in the Gnome-Shell environment without complications.

THE PACKAGE MUST BE EXTRACTED TO THE HOME DIRECTORY TO WORK.

Updated with more explicit Readme.

If you experience problems with the Unity-2D-Dash coming up when using the super key checkout the Unity-2D settings manager in the link below.

In regards to the gnome-shell theme I am using it is version 0.2 of Faience [link] . V0.3 performs better, although it has a solid black panel.

Wallpaper is Classic Wood by Nardoxic [link]

Enjoy!

you have to have unity-2d installed before this will work. It is fully compatible with Mint but it must have Unity-2d installed first.

Lubuntu or Xubuntu? ATM I use AWN or Cairo if I need Unity-type effects. Low-powered computers cannot run Compiz.

Hi Tobias! Thank you very much for sharing this. I've already tried something similar with the unity-2d-launcher, but your pack it's far more better. It's an amazing combination. I would like to know if you could tell me how did you put the ubuntu icon on top, instead of th "activities" text... It's on the .css file of the theme?

Thanks anyway and sorry for any errors with my english :P

I made an edit to the Gnome-Shell theme I was using in this case I modified the panel.css file in Faience to recognize a 64x24 image as the activities. I am working on incorporating this into the script.
