This evolution of the Original edgebound desktop combines the Unity 2D launcher with AWN based wingpanels. It provides an alternative to gnome-shell or unity while providing a rich power environment to work with.

THE PACKAGE MUST BE EXTRACTED TO YOUR HOME DIRECTORY TO WORK!

Be sure to have Gnome-Shell, Gnome-Classic, and Gnome-Fallback installed.

sudo apt-get install gnome-shell
will do the trick.

This package is currently in testing but has been tested successfully.
Thanks for the bug report. Compiz was set to be added to start-up in an early build and was never removed. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you are having trouble with other DEs see the comment below for fixing the issue.

The desktop is made up of the following components
Unity-2D-Launcher
Avant-Window-Navigator
Emerald
Elementary Theme
Faenza Icon Set [link]
Deep Blue (From Elementary OS wallpaper pack)
This theme is designed to convert the gnome-classic session into the Edgebound desktop. Please be aware of this.

It does not yet work in 12:04 The configuration settings are a little different in 12.04 and I am having trouble getting them to work. I have been extremely busy, so it is unlikely that it will work anytime soon.

hi
i want to come back to the gnome classic but easrtore.sh dos'nt work correctly
when i type rm ~/.config/autostart/compiz.desktop in terminal it says :

rm: cannot remove `/home/ali/.config/autostart/compiz.desktop': No such file or directory

any help please

I'll take a look. The restore was pretty solid last Time I looked. What errors do you get when you do the restore? If none I'll do my best to help. Sorry.

Ok, So got gnome shell back, got unity back, things looking proper for the most part.

It has completely screwed gnome shell. I only installed it cos it claims to replace gnome classic desktop ALONE. Why has it destroyed gnome shell and how do it get it back?? The undo script does nothing!
